Day two of the PIAA District IV meet and the Millionaires kept the heat turned up. Tre Taylor once again shattered the record that he set just on Thursday himself, running 14.01 on Saturday in the 110 hurdles and took second place with his 300m hurdle race, running a state qualifying time. In the long jump, he set a new district meet record of 22 feet, 11 ¼ inches. He will be heading to Shippensburg this weekend along with Henry Lyon in the 3200 (with a state qualifying time of 9:12). Jessica Robinson will be heading to states for the 100m hurdles, Tionna Collier in both the open 100m and 200m dash, Kailee Helmrich in the 400m dash, and Enya Green-Pratt in javelin.   There are three relay teams heading to states this weekend. The boys 4x1 team of Nelson Macdonald, Ry’meer Brown, Angelo Casas, and Maxwell Goode won with a with a strong finish.  The girls 4x1 team took the gold in their race not only winning, but setting a new PR with a state meet qualifying time of 49.48. Those running were Tionna Collier, Kailee Helmrich, Prynn Sidleck, and Anyae Grissom. The Millionaires turned up the heat last night on the track and in the field as they competed in Day 1 of the district championship. Shaheem Hill was the first Millionaire to step up on the podium and accept his gold medal in the High Jump, winning the event with a Jump of 6'2" and punching his ticket to the state championships next weekend. In triple jump, AlKabeer Jason took 3rd and Shaheem took 6th. In girls shot, Luseanna took 3rd, in girls triple Zoey Pophal took 4th and Maya Trump took 5th. Tre Taylor shatter the district record and his own school record in the 110s; running a blazing 14.14. The following Millionaires have earned their spots in the finals on Saturday: Jaimere Harden - 110 Hurdles Jessica Robinson - 100 Hurdles Aanyae Grissom - 100 Hurdles Prynn Sidleck - 100 Hurdles Rymeer Brown - 100 Dash Max Goode- 100 dash Tionna Collier - 100 dash Makayla Johnson- 100 dash. The girls 4x8 crushed their PR taking second with a team of Emily Hale, Daynse Washington, Anna Harstead, and Ellie Fisher. The boys finished 3rd with a team of Gavin Furey, Logan Hall, Ethan Holcomb and J. Henry Lyon. Let's keep the big performances coming Saturday Millionaires...everyone has a role in our success!

The Millionaire Track and Field team had two amazing wins at the PHAC Championship met held at Hughesville High School on Saturday. Some Millionaire highlights include:   Tre Taylor with four first places in the 110 and 300m hurdles as well as the 200 and long jump. Nelson Macdonald placed in all of his events with a second in the 200m, third in long jump, and fourth place in the 100m dash. Macdonald ran a leg on the 4x100m relay along with teammates Brown, Greene, and Casas. Our first place finishers include Gavin Furey in the 800, Rymeer Brown in the 100m dash, Henry Lyon in the 3200, Elliott Wannop in the 400, Shaheem Hill in high jump, and Garrett Laver in discus. The 4x400m relay team came across the finish line taking first. That relay team was Wannop, Gerrity, Casas, and Eiswerth. Other athletes placing in the top eight at the PHAC meet are: Jamarie Harden in two events, Campbell in two events, and Ethan Holcomb in two events as well as Logan Hall, Damond Green, Patrick Gerrity, Angelo Casas, Treyvon Eiswerth, Maxwell Goode, Avery, Dustin Fink, Indigo Koch, Patrick Nardi, Alexander Haswell, and Darius Brooks-Alston. Furey, Hill, and Laver also placed in other events.   Some Lady Millionaire highlights include: Tionna Collier taking first in her three events: the 100 and 200m dash as well as the 4x1 relay. Accompanying her on the relay were teammates Grissom, Sidleck, Collier, and Helmrich. Prynn Sidleck had a great day with her relay team as well as her three individual events, taking fourth in the 100 hurdles, sixth in long jump, and eighth in the 300 hurdles. Anyae Grissom placed first in her 300m hurdles and eighth in the 100m hurdles. On the field, Luseane Ma’afu took second in both shot and discus. Other athletes placing in the top eight with two events are: Jessica Robinson, Ella Wilson, Olivia Holmes, and Ellie Fisher. More in the top eight include Emily Hale, Danyse Washington, Mallory Pardoe, Countess Lingard, Maya Trump, Zoey Pophal, Angelis Cordero, Enya Green-Pratt, and Erika Haag. The 4x400m team took second place and the 4x800m team took fourth.   Saturday was a great day to be a Millionaire. Excellent work to all athletes who participated in the meet. This week the track and field athletes are preparing for their district championship meet that will be split into Thursday evening and Saturday.

The 9th and 10th grade Williamsport Millionaires hosted Loyalsock, Hughesville, Jersey Shore, and Montoursville at a home meet for the PHAC Freshman-Sophomore Invitational. Both Millionaire teams brought in many points across both the track and the field, with the boys coming in first place and the girls in second.   Some of the top three scorers on the track from the 9th and 10th Millionaires include: Angelo Casas (1st) in the 100 and 200m dash (1st); Connor Poole in the 400m dash (3rd); Patrick Nardi in the 1600m run (2nd); Ethan Holcomb in the 3200m run (1st); William Kieser in the 3200m run (2nd); Jamaire Harden in the 110m hurdles (2nd) and the 300m hurdles (1st). The 4x1, 4x4, and 4x8 relay teams all took first place. Those athletes include: Harden, Micai Harris, Yazhir Slaughter, Casas, Alonzo Rice, Nardi, Holcomb, Poole, and Kieser.   The top three field scores include: Thomas Takach in the high jump (3rd), Indigo Koch in the pole vault (2nd), Nariq Burks in the shot put (2nd), Rice in the discus (1st), and Jackson Fink in the javelin throw (2nd).   The top three scorers on the track from the Lady Millionaires include: Danyse Washington  in the 400m dash (2nd); Anna Harstead in the 800m run (2nd); Ella Wilson placing in the 1600m run (2nd); and Anyae Grissom in both the 100m hurdles (2nd) and 300m hurdles (2nd). The 4x1 and 4x4 relay teams both took 2nd place. Those athletes include: Makaylah Johnson, Grissom, Nevaeh Hale, Adrianna Clemons, Harstead, and Washington   The top three field scores include: Zoey Pophal in triple jump (3rd); Luseane Ma’afu taking first in shot put and discus throw; Natani Wright in discus (2nd); Chartez Slaughter in the discus (3rd) and javelin (2nd).   The Millionaires head to Selinsgrove to take on the Seals this Tuesday for their final dual meet of the season.

Final scores: Boys: 124-26 Williamsport Girls: 95-55 Williamsport   The Millionaire track and field team spectacular wins at their away meet at Central Mountain last night.   First place finishers on the boys team were: Harden - 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles Nardi - 1600m run Hall - 800m run Casas - 200m dash Furey - 3200m run Koch - pole vault Hill - high jump and triple jump Goode - long jump Laver - discus 4x800m relay 4x400m relay 4x100m relay   First place finishers on the girls team were: Collier - 100m dash and 200m dash Wilson - 1600m run and 3200 run Helmrich - 400m Sidleck - 300m hurdles Fisher - 800m Robinson - long jump Ma’afu - shot put and discus Green-Pratt - javelin 4x800m relay 4x400m relay 4x100m relay   A job well done to all athletes who participated in the meet. Coming up next is the 9th and 10th grade PHAC meet at home this Saturday and the Millionaires head to Selinsgrove on Tuesday, May 11th.

Millionaires Lose: 61 - 89
Home versus Shikellamy Final Scores: Girls  97-53 Williamsport   Boys 89-61 Shikellamy Last night was the perfect night for a track meet, finished off with senior night to celebrate our senior track athletes at their last home meet of the season.   The Lady Millionaires had a huge win against their opponents, accomplishing their goal in beating Shik this season. Some highlights are Tionna Collier winning the 200, sweeping the 400m with Kailee Helmrich, Anna Harstead, and Adrianna Clemons as well as in the 100 hurdles from Jessica Robinson, Prynn Sidleck, and Anyae Grissom. The girls 4x1 relay team of Grissom, Collier, Sidleck, and Helmrich had a nice win and on the field, we had Luseane Ma’afu and Taniyah Martin with a one and two in shot, along with Ma’afu winning the discus throw, followed by teammates Olivia Holmes and Martin.  As for the boys, Rymeer Brown took third in the 100 and Damond Green in the 200. Elliott Wannop ran a winning 400 followed by teammate Treyvon Eiswerth in third. Logan Hall and Henry Lyon went two and three in the 800, while Lyon took first in the 1600, followed by teammate Gavin Furey – who then won the 3200. Jamaire Harden looked good over the 110 and 300 hurdles, placing third and first. Shaheem Hill took first in both his events, the high and triple jump, with teammate Al-Kabeer Jason taking second in high and Darius Brooks-Alston taking third in triple. Nelson Macdonald scored first place in the long jump and throwers Avery Campbell and Nassir Jones took second in the shot put and discus throw.

Millionaires Lose: 63 - 87
The Williamsport Millionaires took on the Altoona Mountain Lions in their first away meet of the season. Some highlights include: Ry’meer Brown taking first place in the 200-meter dash with teammate Nelson Macdonald taking third and Jamaire Harden placing second in the 110m hurdles. J. Henry Lyon held first in both the 1600m and 3200m run while Al-kabeer Jason and Jakiha Kline took second and third in the triple jump. On the field, Avery Campbell and Dade Splain took second and third in the shot put and Nassir Jones and Gerrett Laver went one and two in the discus throw. Some stand-out girls are: Ella Wilson with the big W in the 3200m run and Emily Hale taking second in the 1600-meter run. Prynn Sidleck and Jessica Robinson took second and third in the 100m hurdles, and Prynn in second in the 300 hurdles followed by teammate Keyana Springman. On the field, Angelis Cordero took a strong second in both the discus throw and shot put, along with teammates Enya Green-Pratt, Iscah Rintleman, and Erika Haag sweeping the javelin throw. The Millionaires are ready to take on Mifflinburg this Thursday at their home stadium.

Millionaires Win: 111.00 - 39
The boys and girls track teams took down the Jersey Shore Bulldogs yesterday at their first meet of the season. Giving up only 39 points to their opponents and hitting new PRs, the Millionaires dominated both the track and the field. Angelo Casas, Nelson MacDonald, and Malachi White took first, second, and third in the 100-meter dash and Nelson MacDonald again in the long jump followed by teammates Maxwell Goode and Nassir Jones. Garrett Laver, Nassir Jones, and Avery Campbell held it down at the discus throw with a first, second, and third place there. The Lady Millionaires also brought in some excellent sweeps and big PRs including: Maya Trump, Makayla Johnson, and Najiyah Smith in the triple jump, Enya Green-Pratt, Iscah Rintleman, and Matison Cramer in the javelin, and another in the 100-meter hurdles by Jess Robinson, Anyae Grissom and Ziyera Walker. Well done to all track athletes at the first meet of the season!
