Millionaires Win: 3 - 1
The Millionaire boys soccer team earned a hard-fought victory at Selinsgrove Tuesday night. The win improves Williamsport’s record to 6-2.   With less than two minutes having ticked off from the start of the game, senior captain Jimmy Pombor slid a perfect pass through to sophomore forward Angelo Casas who got a shot off. The Seals keeper made the initial save, but gave up a rebound where sophomore forward Connor Poole cleaned up the loose ball, giving Williamsport an early 1-0 lead. The majority of the first half saw Williamsport gain more confidence as their central midfielders (Zach Lake, Owen Kaar, Jimmy Pombor, and Quentin Mazzante) flexed their muscles and limited the Seals’ attack to just a few chances. Millionaire keeper, Sam Radulski, along with his back line of Evan Beiter, Jack Fink, and Tadd Ungard permitted Selinsgrove to take shots on goal, but many of them were from long range. With just under ten minutes to play in the first half, Pombor sneaked his way by three defenders and passed the ball across the box where senior Andrew Boll blasted it past the keeper, putting Williamsport up by two. Five minutes later, Connor Poole received the ball outside the eighteen and took advantage of the opponent’s keeper being out of position and placed a shot over his head for a three goal lead heading into the break. In the second half, Williamsport’s defense bent, but it did not break. Selinsgrove outshot Williamsport in the second half, but the Millionaires continued to get their opportunities at the other end. Selinsgrove got a shot past Radulski with under three minutes left in the contest. The boys are back in action Thursday afternoon as they host Midd-West.     Shots: Wmspt - 9 Sel - 13   Fouls: Wmspt - 10 Sel - 12   Corners: Wmspt - 4 Sel - 4   Gk saves: Wmspt - 12  (Radulski) Sel - 6  (Erb)
Boys JV/Varsity Soccer vs. Altoona Area High School

Millionaires Win: 6 - 0
The Millionaire boys soccer team bounced back Saturday afternoon by defeating Altoona, 6-0.     Williamsport's attack was immediate as they quickly worked the ball up the pitch where senior captain Jimmy Pombor eluded the Altoona keeper and then easily put the ball in the back of the net just thirty-two seconds into the first half.  With an early advantage, the Millionaires possessed the ball for longer periods of time and fifteen minutes later junior captain Owen Kaar slid a pass to Pombor for his second goal on the afternoon, giving Williamsport a two-goal lead at the break.   Williamsport began the second half focusing to secure a shut-out.  Keeper Sam Radulski and his back line, only allowed a few shots on goal and Radulski managed those with ease.  While the defensive played strongly, the Williamsport midfield and attack was busy, as the Millionaire midfielders refused to permit the Mountain Lions any easy access to their final third of the pitch.  Six minutes into the second half, sophomore forward Connor Poole and Pombor worked a quick combination play to sophomore forward Angelo Casas to put Williamsport up by three.  Three minutes later, Pombor placed a perfect pass to Casas for his second goal of the game.  Half-way through the second half, Kaar dished out his second assist of the game when he fed junior Jett Johnson, who blasted a shot above the Altoona keeper's outstretched arms to put Williamsport up by five.  Zach Lake added a late goal when he made a great diagonal run through the middle of the defensive cluster where Pombor slipped the ball through for Lake to drill his shot into the back of the net.   Williamsport is 5 and 2 on the season and travel to Selinsgrove Tuesday night.

The Millionaire boys soccer team improved their record to 4 and 1 on the season after traveling to Sunbury yesterday and posting five goals on the Shikellamy Braves.     Senior captain Jimmy Pombor opened the scoring for Williamsport when sophomore Connor Poole connected with him twelve minutes into the game.  Ten minutes later junior captain Owen Kaar fed Pombor for his second goal of the afternoon.  With under a minute in the first half, Connor Poole buried the ball in the back of the net to give Williamsport a 3 goal lead at the break.   Jimmy Pombor got the Williamsport attack going in the second half when he assisted sophomore forward Angelo Casas for the four-goal lead midway through the second half.  Ten minutes later Pombor capped off his three-goal game by eluding the Brave's keeper and sliding it into the net.  The Braves scored two late goals.   Williamsport plays again Thursday against undefeated Danville at 4:30.

Millionaires Win: 3 - 1
The Millionaires evened their record last night by topping Milton, 3-1.   Sophomore Connor Poole got things rolling when he converted a penalty kick for an early 1-0 lead. The visiting Black Panthers began playing with more intensity and pushed sophomore keeper Sam Radulski and his defensive line to their limit.  Radulski and his crew were able to handle Milton’s pressure at the end of the first half and took a one goal advantage into the break.   In the second half, Milton evened the score at one a piece with twenty minutes to play. Led by senior captain Jimmy Pombor, Williamsport’s midfield took over. The Millionaires’ attack was able to continually penetrate Milton’s defense as sophomore forward Angelo Casas managed to cause chaos inside the offensive third. Casas was taken down inside the box for another penalty where Poole again converted to give the lead back to Williamsport. The game’s final goal came on a beautiful build-up of possession from junior captains Zach Lake and Owen Kaar. Jimmy Pombor outworked Milton’s defense as he zipped past several defenders on his way to the net. Fellow senior Andrew Boll fed Pombor the assist to give Williamsport the 3-1 lead.   Williamsport is 1 and 1 and travel to Central Mountain Tuesday night    The JV game ended in a 1-1 tie. Parker Johnson had six saves in net for the Millionaires.
