The Williamsport Area High School opened in January 1972 and is located in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, a small city of about 30,000 people in Lycoming County in the north central portion of the state. 
 
WAHS has an enrollment of about 1,400 students in grades nine through 12.  The building has recently undergone a $26 million renovation to accommodate modern technology, additional office space, and classroom and athletic facility improvements.

One of the most recent additions to the Williamsport Area School District is the Balls Mills Soccer Complex along Lycoming Creek Road.  Described by school board President Lori Baer as a “great gift to the school district and community,” the district accepted the donation of the complex by the Balls Mills Soccer Club in the fall of 2014.  The donation provided a new permanent home for Millionaire soccer games and practices.

Owned by the Lycoming County Housing Authority, Robert B. Logue Memorial Field is the home of Williamsport Baseball. Stadium seating, lights, batting cages, bullpens, dugouts, and press box are amenities to this field. Parking is adjacent to the entrance and stadium. Logue Field is located one mile from Williamsport Area High School at the bottom of the hill.  Logue Field is shared with the West End Babe Ruth Program.

Owned by the City of Williamsport, Elm Park is a fully-lit, three-field complex that is home to Williamsport Millionaire softball.  Parking is located adjacent to the fields. Elm Park is located 1.5 miles from campus and is across the street from Bowman Field.  The WAHS Varsity and JVf teams along with the Middle Schools practice and play their home games at the Elm Park Softball Complex.

Owned by Old Lycoming Township, Winder Field is the home of Williamsport Junior Varsity Baseball. Bleacher seating, lights, batting cages, bullpens, dugouts, and press box are amenities to this field. Parking is adjacent to the entrance and stadium. Winder Field is located three miles from Williamsport Area High School.

WAHS is home to the only swimming pool inside a high school in Lycoming County. Improvements were made to the space in 2014.  The pool is one of the only 8-lane pools in this part of state, which allows WAHS to host the PIAA District IV Championship Swimming Meet for Class AA every year.

The tennis center is located on the campus of Williamsport Area High School.  It is one of the premier venues for tennis in the region, featuring 8 renovated courts.  WAHS hosts the PIAA District IV Class AA Team, Singles and Doubles tournament each fall for the girls and spring for the boys.

The WAHS Fitness Center opened in March 2014.  The Fitness Center relocated from the high school’s sub-gym to one of the high school’s retrofitted cafeterias.  In addition to brand-new equipment, it features an expanded training room and new locker rooms.  The space is used for physical education classes and sports training, and is open to employees as part of the district’s wellness program.
