The boys soccer team left Middleburg with a huge win last night by topping the Midd-West Mustangs 1-0. Keeper Sam Radulski and his defensive group of Jack Fink, Parker Johnson, and Tadd Ungard kept Midd-West from finding the net when they were pressuring in the first half.
After twelve minutes had passed in the second half, sophomore Trevor Estes got free down the right side and battled an opponent for possession of the ball. Estes won that battle and delivered a pass to junior Connor Poole, just outside the eighteen, who blasted his shot into the upper right corner for the go ahead goal.
"It was a fun game to watch, actually. Both teams played hard and ended up having multiple scoring opportunities to score throughout the game. We caught some breaks here and there and scored when we needed to." noted coach Kaar after the game.
The boys are on the road again Thursday night as they travel to Central Mountain for a 7:00 game.
