Williamsport’s swimming teams have success at Cedar Crest Classic on Saturday

The Millionaires’ Sydney Kelley had an outstanding day in the pool. Kelley swam a 53.92 to take second in the 100 free, as Exeter’s Megan Unruh was first in 52.08. Kelley also swam a 1:57.60 to take third in the girls 200 free behind Exeter’s Megan Unruh and Muhlenberg’s Sydney Gring.

In addition, Kelley also helped Williamsport’s 200 free relay team take fifth with a time of 1:45.05, setting a PR in the process. The team consisted of Kendall Cohick, Molly Garrison, Aubrey Glosser and Kelley.

Keller Griswold was also a second-place finisher for Williamsport as he took second in the boys 100 free in 49.74, just narrowly missing out on finishing first as Muhlenberg’s Brady Robidas swam a 47.55 to win. Griswold also finished fifth in the 100 fly in 54.38.

The Millionaires’ Parker Johnson finished second with a time of 1:04.85, narrowly missing first by just 0.67 seconds.

Williamsport’s boys 200 medley relay team finished third with a time of 1:42.69, improving their PR by two seconds. The team was made up of Cal Hockman, Parker Johnson, Keller Griswold and Jaden Rankinen. The team was behind only Emmaus (second) and Muhlenberg (first, 1:41.19).

The Millionaires’ Cal Hockman was a sixth-place finisher in the boys 200 IM after he swam a 2:12.45 and also took sixth in the 100 free in 51.42. Garrison was also a sixth-place finisher as she swam a 26.65 in the 50 free. She was just a second behind Nazareth’s Cameron Alvino, who won in 25.46.

Kendall Cohick swam a 1:02.34 in the girls 100 back to take sixth.

Williamsport’s Nate Wiley, LJ Shaffer, Brady Ross and Cooper Allmaras were seventh-place finishers in the boys 200 free relay in 1:38.16. The time was a PR by 0.84 seconds.

Williamsport’s girls 400 free relay team of Cohick, Garrison, Glosser and Kelley swam a 3:50.23, good enough for fourth place in the race.

On the boys side, Williamsport’s 400 free relay team took fourth with Hockman, Rankinen, Wiley and Griswold swimming a 3:28.59.
