Millionaires Lose: -
The Williamsport Millionaires hosted their last dual track meet against the Selinsgrove Seals. It was a beautiful day to compete and recognize the senior athletes for senior night. Some highlights from the boy’s team include: Cameron Sims took first place in three events (100 meter dash, 4x100 meter relay, and 200 meter dash) while Jamaire Harden also placed in his three events (first in the 110 meter hurdles, second in the 300 meter hurdles, and third in the 100 meter dash). Nelson Macdonald took first place in the long jump and was a part of the winning 4x100 meter relay team (Sims, Macdonald, Emmanuel Pombor, and Damond Greene). Gavin Reed took first place in the pole vault while Ethan Holcomb took first and second place in the 1600 meter run and 800 meter run, respectively. Aiden Everett took third place in the triple jump and 400 meter dash, while teammate Elijah Frierson took second place in long jump and third place in high jump. Some standouts on the girl’s side include: The throwers for bringing in many team points. Taniyah Martin won both shot put and discus throw with Lucy Ma’afu following her with second place in both events. Olivia Holmes took first place in javelin and third in discus while Erika Haag took second in the javelin throw. Countess Lingard won first place in the long jump and second in the 200 meter dash and teammate Emily Hale placed in her four events. Hale took second in the 1600 meter run, third in the 800-meter run, and was a part of the winning 4x800 meter relay and 4x400 meter relay teams. Anyae Grissom placed first in the 100 meter hurdles and second in the 300 meter hurdles, followed by Prynn Sidleck, who took third in the 300s. Zoey Pophal took second place in triple jump. The Millionaires head to Danville on Saturday for their League Championship meet and will host the District 4 meet next week.
